Char Banach, Artist
Sharing Art From The Heart |
|
Artist Char Banach lives and paints at Windborne Farm in Bennett Valley, in the heart of Sonoma County, California. Surrounded by vineyards, she lives in the midst of a happy family of five horses, three dogs, two birds, some restless coyotes, mountain lions, deer, owls, and nearby Emus, Nubian goats and lambs. There’s a husband around too, but he just tries to not be in the way. This special bond with animals and nature is often reflected in her work, ranging from the realism of her portraits of best friends Stonewall Baby Jane, the boss mare of the herd at Windborne Farm, to the Amazing Gracie series of portraits of her beloved English Springer Spaniel, who is often by her side.
Educated in Environmental Design at Northern Michigan University with further art studies at the University of Wisconsin. California Art Teaching Credential, Dominican University, California.
Displayed in private collections in California, Idaho, Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona. Frequently represented in Northern California.
Many of Char’s works are available as note cards, and original works are available as artist-enhanced giclée prints on canvas or heavy presentation paper, framed or unframed, in a variety of sizes. Commissions accepted. Contact Char Banach for more information.
